Drug Uses

Lopressor is a cardioselective beta-blocker. Lopressor improves heart function and is used in:

• Mono or combined therapy of hypertension
• Long-term management of tachycardia and stenocardia of different functional classes
• Prevention or reduction of the myocardial infarction consequences
• Reducing the frequency of headaches in people prone to migraine

For the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, patient should first take Lopressor 100mg once a day, or 50 mg every 12 hours. The dosage may be increased to a maximum of Lopressor 450mg per day, if there is no therapeutic response, or if it is low. The dosing regimen should not be changed more than once in 7 days.

Missed Dose

If you remember that you have missed a dose of Lopressor, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for taking the next recommended dose of Lopressor, it must be used without doubling.

More Information

An additional effect of the cardioselective beta-blocker Lopressor is the decrease in the concentration of free fatty acids and high-density lipoprotein.

Storage

Lopressor should be stored in an original container at room temperature between 15°C to 25°C. Protect Lopressor tablets from moisture and light, and keep out of the reach of children.

Lopressor Side Effects
